Use the benchmarks defined in the first step to find out what percentage of accounts for each absolute unit.For example, if in the above example, 100% was adopted by the total weight of (6 + 4 = 10), the absolute per unit (ton) will account for 100/10 = 10 relative units (percent).If the measure adopted for the base weight of the oxidizer, it will correspond to each ton of 100/4 = 25%, and if kerosene - 100 / 6≈16,67%.

Find the difference between the compared values in absolute units.This value is independent of the base figure and defined by the usual operation of subtraction.For example used above, no matter what you have taken a hundred percent difference will be equal to two tons, but when compared with respect to kerosene, this value will be negative: 4-6 = -2.

Put the difference of the absolute values (tonnes) in relative units (interest).For that obtained in the previous step, multiply the number by a value obtained in the second step.In our example, this means that the difference in tons of weight components (2) must be multiplied by the amount of interest attributable to each ton.If in the base figure was adopted by the total weight of the fuel, should be multiplied by 10% 2 * 10% = 20%.If the comparison is based on the weight of oxidant, the factor should be equal to 25% (2 * 25 = 50%) while the base figure - the weight of kerosene, then 16.67% (-2 * = 16.67 -33.34%).
